Capabilities

The MediaWiki MCP Server allows your AI tool to find and retrieve information from your wiki. This includes page content, page history, and uploaded files.

You can also create and update pages.

Authentication is done via OAuth, and is required for all write actions. It is also required for reading on private wikis.

There is some support for multiple wikis. For instance, you can ask your AI tool to create a page on your wiki based on the contents of a Wikipedia article.
