Local media for Wikibase
You can now use media files from your wiki inside of Wikibase.
Wikibase Local Media is a free and open-source extension for Wikibase. It adds a new "Media file" data type to Wikibase. This type works like the "Commons media file" data type, but for your local media files. It allows you to use images uploaded to your wiki as values in your Wikibase statements.

Installation
Requirements
- PHP 7.4 or later
- MediaWiki 1.39 or later
- Wikibase Repository
Load and enable
Load the extension using Composer:
COMPOSER=composer.local.json composer require --no-update professional-wiki/wikibase-local-media:~1.0Enable the extension by adding the following to your LocalSettings.php:
wfLoadExtension( 'WikibaseLocalMedia' );You can verify the installation by checking your wiki's Special:Version page.
